Every area has its own history, and Tietgen Byen is no exception. In collaboration with Odense Municipality, archaeologists from Odense City Museums have been excavating and exploring Tietgen Byen’s history for a number of years. Piece by piece, the jigsaw of human activity through the generations is being assembled, and the overall picture shows that the area was a popular place in the past, just as it is today. People have lived and worked here for many thousands of years.

A unique historical identity

Tietgen Byen is laid out according to a green structural plan, and Odense Municipality and Odense City Museums are working together to promote awareness of the area's history to make it a one-of-a-kind industrial park with an ideal location, a green profile and its own historical identity.
